{"id":24251,"date":"2019-07-19T11:34:13","date_gmt":"2019-07-19T18:34:13","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/?p=24251"},"modified":"2019-07-16T08:57:55","modified_gmt":"2019-07-16T15:57:55","slug":"never-say-particular-two-words","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/all-mfn\/never-say-particular-two-words\/","title":{"rendered":"Never Say These Particular Two Words"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-large wp-image-24252\" src=\"https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/yeah-1024x427.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"1024\" height=\"427\" srcset=\"https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/yeah-1024x427.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/yeah-300x125.jpg 300w, https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/yeah-768x320.jpg 768w, https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/yeah.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/p>\n<p><strong>What I\u2019m about to share with you are two very harmless words except when they\u2019re used together.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>These words are\u2026<\/p>\n<p>\u201cYeah, but\u2026\u201d<\/p>\n<p>I\u2019m sure you\u2019ve heard them before or even used them, right?<\/p>\n<p>Let me explain with what I hope are two really good examples.<\/p>\n<p>Person #1: &#8220;You know there\u2019s never a perfect time to start exercising.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>Person #2: &#8220;Yeah, but things are just extra crazy right now with the holidays coming.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>To clarify, the phrase \u201cyeah, but\u201d does two things.<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><strong>It acknowledges the situation, challenge, etc.<\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>It refutes your ability to do anything about it.<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>And the truth is, there\u2019s never a &#8220;but&#8221; when something is important enough or a high enough priority to us.<\/p>\n<p>Firstly, if someone is diagnosed with cancer, their response wouldn\u2019t be, &#8220;yeah, but I just don\u2019t have time to deal with this right now.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>In the same vein, there is a sale on your favorite high heels or sneakers, your response wouldn\u2019t be, &#8220;yeah, but I already have enough pair of shoes, so, I\u2019ll pass.&#8221; Similarly, if you\u2019re like most people, you are going to find a way to get those heels or sneakers fast!<\/p>\n<p>The reason I decided to share this message is to simply bring this phrase to your attention. Above all, I want you to be full aware of it.<\/p>\n<p>My hope is that the next time you hear &#8220;yeah, but&#8221;, either from yourself or someone else, that you catch yourself, evaluate the scenario, and move toward \u201cyeah\u201d without the \u201cbut.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>In short, I hope you will never say these two particular words: \u201cyeah, but&#8230;\u201d!<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<p><em>Originally printed on\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.movewellfit.com\/category\/blog\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Move Well Fitness blog<\/a>.
