The taste and health benefits are amazing. Bone building, hormone balancing, and heart health are just a few of the wonderful \u201cside effects\u201d of one of my most requested recipes. It&#8217;s a fresh and vibrant side dish to liven up any BBQ, picnic, or potluck.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>1 cup jicama, julienne<\/li>\n<li>1 cup broccoli florets<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup flat leaf parsley, chopped<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup purple onion, minced<\/li>\n<li>\u00be cup grapeseed oil mayonnaise (Follow Your Heart brand)<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>2 tsp fresh horseradish, shredded<\/li>\n<li>1 Tbsp honey<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong data-wp-editing=\"1\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignright wp-image-26009\" src=\"https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Jicama-Broccoli-Coleslaw-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"400\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Jicama-Broccoli-Coleslaw-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Jicama-Broccoli-Coleslaw-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Jicama-Broccoli-Coleslaw-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/04\/Jicama-Broccoli-Coleslaw.jpg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 400px) 100vw, 400px\" \/>Directions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Toss first four ingredients together in a bowl and set aside. Combine Grapeseed oil mayo, lemon juice, fresh horseradish and honey in a separate bowl.\u00a0 Pour over vegetables and toss to coat.\u00a0 Chill and serve.<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Phyte Bites<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>Horseradish relieves pain, reduces inflammation, and stimulates the metabolism.<\/p>\n<p>Broccoli is a powerful weapon against hormone-based cancers (prostate, cervical, breast, and lung.)<\/p>\n<p>Parsley is high in Apigenin and is a great bone strengthener. Harvard School of Medicine thinks Apigenin may possibly lead to a cure for ovarian cancer.<\/p>\n<p>All of the ingredients listed contribute to strong bones, ligaments, and tendons. Grapeseed oil is the only oil we know of that actually clears plaque from our arteries.
