{"id":27978,"date":"2020-11-02T06:26:37","date_gmt":"2020-11-02T14:26:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/?p=27978"},"modified":"2020-11-01T09:46:30","modified_gmt":"2020-11-01T17:46:30","slug":"the-naturopathic-chef-fall-slaw-apple-fennel-coleslaw","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/medfitnetwork.org\/public\/all-mfn\/the-naturopathic-chef-fall-slaw-apple-fennel-coleslaw\/","title":{"rendered":"The Naturopathic Chef: &#8220;Fall Slaw&#8221; &#8211; Apple\/Fennel Coleslaw"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Here is the new Fall Slaw I&#8217;m serving at the winery. \ud83c\udf42\ud83c\udf41 Guests order extra to-go, every day!<\/p>\n<h4><strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/h4>\n<ul>\n<li>\u00bd head Green Cabbage, finely shredded<\/li>\n<li>1 small Fennel Bulb*<\/li>\n<li>2 Granny Smith Apples<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup Grape Seed Oil Mayo<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup fresh Lemon juice<\/li>\n<li>1 tblsp Apple Cider Vinegar<\/li>\n<li>1 tblsp Honey<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd tsp Salt<\/li>\n<li>\u00bd cup Golden Raisins<\/li>\n<li>\u00bc cup toasted Almonds<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h4><strong>Directions<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>*Cut off the stems and feathery fronds of the fennel bulb and remove any bruised or discolored outer leaves. Slice bulb in half, and then into thin slices. Stack a few of the slices and run your knife across to create matchsticks.<\/p>\n<p>Working with 1 apple at a time, quarter it and cut away the core. Starting with the rounded side, slice each quarter, thinly. Stack slices and run knife across, again to create matchsticks.<\/p>\n<p>In another bowl, combine the mayo, lemon juice, apple juice concentrate, honey and salt. Whisk together. The dressing should be both sweet and tangy and the consistency should be pour-able. Taste and adjust the salt, as needed. Gently toss prepped salad ingredients with dressing. IBS, Chrohn&#8217;s, excessive gas, bloating, constipation, diarrhea and water retention also respond well. Many researchers feel this to be a modest estimate. Some studies show a 70% reduction in probability. When the bile duct becomes a swamp, it is much easier for disease to set in.
