MedFit Education Foundation Partners with ToolBox Genomics

(COSTA MESA, CA, July 2, 2018) – The MedFit Education Foundation (MFEF), a nonprofit 501(c)(3),announced today that it has partnered with Toolbox Genomics (TBG) to educate fitness and allied healthcare professionals about translational genomics.

ToolBox Genomics educates and empowers individuals to build their healthiest life by helping them understand how food and lifestyle interact with their DNA and by providing personalized and actionable recommendations.

“Toolbox Genomics works with fitness and other wellness professionals to integrate DNA testing into their practice, enabling them to cut down on trial and error and create a truly personalized plan for each of their clients,” said Dr. Jessica Knurick, Director of Clinical Product & Education for TBG.  “At TBG, we believe that DNA-guided interventions provide better health outcomes through personalized care. Our goal is to provide fitness and wellness professionals all the DNA-based resources they’ll need to optimize the health of their clients and their practice.”

“We are excited to have ToolBox Genomics be a national sponsor of the MedFit Tour and have Dr. Jessica Knurick presenting educational sessions at them.  Through this partnership we will also be creating the first ever Certified Translational Genomics Counselor (CTGC) certification course. ” said MedFit Education Foundation founder, Lisa Dougherty.

Eligible MedFit Network (MFN) members who hold at least a bachelor’s degree in a science-related field at an accredited institution will be offered the opportunity to go through this new program. All MFN members will have discounted access to ToolBox Genomics products with a portion being donated to the MFEF.
