Jennifer Khonsari is a board-certified Physician Assistant with nearly 2 decades of experience in orthopaedic surgery. She obtained her Bachelor of Science with certification in Physician Assisting from D’Youville College, in Buffalo NY. Jennifer received her Master’s degree in Orthopaedic Surgery from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine. Jennifer’s expertise is focused in Total Joint Arthroplasty, Sports Medicine and Trauma.
Jennifer is the lead Physician Assistant in the orthopaedic surgery group in which she practices. She has helped develop their unique and cutting edge “Alexander Outpatient Advantage” program for outpatient total joint arthroplasty, which allows total joint patients to have their surgery at an outpatient surgical center, recover in the comfort of their own home, and have a mobile recovery team care for the patient and administer rehabilitative services in their own home. Thousands of patients have benefitted from this program; it has revolutionized outpatient total joint replacements in her community.
Education is a large part of Jennifer’s career and passion. She is the Clinical Director of a Bio-skills lab. For the last decade, she has organized and facilitated educational cadaver labs for surgeons and medical professionals learning new products, techniques and devices. She has also been the preceptor for multiple PA students. Jennifer has played a large role in recruiting, hiring and training the other midlevel providers in her practice.
In her spare time, she enjoys working out, weight training, cooking, spending time with her family and being active in the Florida sun. She enjoys spending quality time with her 2 boys.
