What types of classes or services does your facility offer to help those with chronic disease/medical conditions or who need pre & postnatal care?
Amen Clinics uses brain SPECT scanning, detailed clinical histories, neuropsychological testing and comprehensive backgrounds checklists to provide assistance with emotional issues, such as anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder, behavioral challenges, like addictions, weight control, or anger, cognitive problems such as brain fog or memory issues, learning challenges like ADD, ADHD.
What sets you apart from other facilities like yours in your community?
No one does what we do. In the same way cardiologists look at hearts, and orthopedics look at x-rays, no other mental health practitioners look at the brain in the way that we do. We use SPECT imaging to identify issues that most psychiatrists, psychologists and therapists treat just by guessing. We use this data to create individualized, targeted treatment plans. We use the least toxic approach possible to achieve the greatest results.
How many fitness, wellness and allied healthcare professionals do you have working at your facility? Tell us about their education and specialties.
We have over 25 doctors on staff, each specializing in their own particular field, from adolescent and adult psychiatry, to addiction issues, nutrition, clinical and forensic psychiatry, naturopathic medicine, etc.

“My son Marcus has been Dr. Darmal’s patient for about 11 years from the age of 11. He has strong bipolar disorder that developed from an originally diagnosed ADD condition. Bipolar Disorder becomes more apparent as an individual matures.
Anyone who has a loved one with this condition knows the emotional roller coaster that comes along with it.
Dr. Darmal has treated Marcus throughout this time. Although Marcus continues to have challenges he has matured and is leading a relatively normal life. Dr. Darmal has been Marcus’s guiding light and he continues to see him on a regular basis. Thanks to Dr. Darmal, the Amen Clinic and SPECT imaging, Marcus has been on a specific medication regiment tailored for his needs. Most Psychiatrists prescribe meds without confirming a patient’s condition.
About 10 years ago my mother became a patient and was diagnosed with dementia and the beginning stages of Alzheimer’s disease. Dr. Darmal is also treating her and although there is no cure, he is making her life more comfortable.”
What would you like to see change/develop/emerge in the future of healthcareand the fitness / allied healthcare industry?
We would love to see greater awareness among the medical community about the use of SPECT imaging. We are huge proponents in using the least toxic methods to treat a variety of conditions and disorders.
And what is your business doing to make this happen?
We actively send emails, submit articles and research regarding the use of SPECT imaging. We use social media to try and reach an audience that doesn’t know what we specifically do and how it sets us apart.

Our process has some of the best published outcomes in our field. We have higher than average success rates using the least tox and most effective solutions.
