“You earn your health… the way we have been eating is what got us into this mess.”
-Joel Fuhrman, MD
Joel Fuhrman, MD, is a board-certified family physician, seven-time New York Times best-selling author, internationally recognized expert on nutrition and natural healing, president of the Nutritional Research Foundation, and faculty of Northern Arizona University Health Sciences division. Dr. Fuhrman coined the term “Nutritarian” to describe a nutrient-dense eating style, designed to prevent cancer, slow aging, and extend lifespan; he operates the “Eat to Live Retreat” in San Diego, CA.
In this episode, we talk with Dr. Joel Fuhrman, who specializes in preventing and reversing disease through nutritional methods. Dr. Fuhrman shares his journey from world-class pairs figure skater to world-renowned leader and advocate for eating a micronutrient diet to fight obesity and battle chronic disease.
Listen carefully as Dr. Fuhrman reveals the science behind the “nutritarian” lifestyle and discusses the power of eating “G-BOMBS,” better known as: greens, beans, onions, mushrooms, berries, and seeds. These are the foods known to inhibit fat storage, prevent cancer and prolong lifespan. Dr. Fuhrman also reveals why we are living in such a dangerous time due to the nature of the standard American diet and what we can do to “earn health.”
Be sure to catch Dr. Fuhrman’s session at the MedFit Global Education & Career Virtual Conference, where he will be speaking in great detail about immune system protection.
