How did you hear about MFN? MFN actually contacted me and ask to feature me on their facebook page.

How do you or your business help those with chronic disease/medical conditions or who need pre & postnatal care?

I mostly treat patients who are recovering from surgery, weight  issues, autoimmune disease, postpartum, and depression.

What makes you different from all the other fitness professionals out there?

Hard to answer this. Only know that I give my clients 100%  attention, respect and advice on how to live a rewarding, healthy life.

What is your favorite activity or class to participate in and why?

Yoga is my favorite. It has vastly improved my mind, body and spirit. Ten years ago, I was suffering from depression, a difficult divorce and serious health issues. Yoga changed everything.  Over time, I began to feel my mood lighten, my erratic breathing subsided and my overall health greatly improved. I became more focused, centered and calm instead of stressed and sad. The physical benefits are many. I no longer have headaches, back pain and sleepless nights, thanks to yoga.

What is one piece of advice that you would give other fitness professionals about working with special populations or those who need pre & postnatal care?

Only to give you best self to your patient, actively listen to them, treat them with the utmost respect.

What type of community activities are you involved in?

I volunteer my time to helping the elderly in my community, volunteer as an early childhood teacher in our local temple and volunteer every summer to keep our beaches clean.

What is one of your favorite memories involving working with someone who has a health challenge or disability?

There’s always much gratification when I see a patient smile, especially when they’ve made such progress in their goal to better health.

What would you like to see change/develop/emerge in the future of healthcare and the fitness industry?

More education for professionals who are treating patients with serious issues.

And what are you doing to make this happen?

I take every workshop and seminar possible to keep on top of the latest changes and advancements by reputable organizations.

What is your favorite fitness/inspirational/motivational quote?

“Surround yourself with those who challenge you, push you and motivate you.”

Anything else we should know about you?

Yes, I never give up, if something doesn’t work, I try something else…. I’m fastidious, focused, silly at times, but devoted to my cause of helping others.
