Like many people, I enjoy spending time outdoors in the summer. When it comes to wearing sunscreen though, I admit I’m not as diligent as I should be. Maybe it’s because I grew up in a time when baby oil was an acceptable tanning agent. As a young girl, I remember watching commercials on TV advertising cocoa butter for a deep dark tan and decided to see if regular butter would do the trick. When sunscreen with SPF was introduced, I really didn’t understand it.
Recently I met up with an old friend I hadn’t seen in a couple of years.
Me: “Hey buddy! How are you?”
Friend: “I’m well, thanks! And…look at you! You look really healthy and fit!”
Me: “Well, yeah, thanks. Frankly speaking I’ve been working out, exercising, you know, a good diet, a healthy lifestyle…”

Water babies, that’s us. We’re at home in liquid from pre-birth and we seem to naturally gravitate to it. We love the ocean, the lake the pool, the hot tub, and the bathtub. What is it about water that means so much to us? It surrounds us, it cradles us, and it supports us. We’re nearly weightless in water.
